"To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harpr Lee, a six year old by the name of Scout Finch is living in the time of the Great Depression in the small town of Maycomb, Alabama. She grew up being raised by Atticus Finch and her brother, Jem. When one day Atticus, a lawyer, decides to take on the case of a black man named Tom Robinson, the stakes are high while on trial to decide whether Tom Robinson is innocent or guilty based on his crime and the color of his skin. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is both eye opening and entertaining because of the way the author sets up the story of the book talking about the problems between African-Americans and Whites during the time that slavery was abolished.
