As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an online and retail business. You will be in charge of managing inventory, optimizing product listings, and ensuring the website is running smoothly. Additionally, you will be responsible for customer service, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient e-commerce operations, including inventory management, logistics, and customer support.
  • Analyze and report on performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Led and mentor team members to develop their skills and achieve company goals. Assigning tasks to staff members based on their job descriptions and work schedules
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns to drive traffic and sales.
  • Handling book orders from publishers and distributors, keeping inventory levels in check
  • Ensuring that all cash transactions are properly recorded by staff members
  • Managing the ordering, receiving, and shelving of books in an orderly manner
  • Maintaining relationships with publishers and authors to promote new titles
  • Managing daily operations of the bookstore, including customer service, reporting, and ordering
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the store, including repairs, cleaning, and merchandising
  • Scheduling and attending staff meetings to discuss new policies, procedures, and challenges that may arise in the store.


  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 yrs experience
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven experience in operations, inventory management
  • Expertise in logistics and fulfillment
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms/retail
